ABOUT US

We are a group of Zoology and Conservation students aiming to bring everyone together in support for bees and their current crisis. We believe in the notion that 'knowledge is power' and the more we know, the more we can do to give bees a helping hand! This is a space where we celebrate all things BEE, all of the amazing things they do for us and let you know exactly what you can do to help our buzzing friends in their time of need.

RAISING AWARENESS

Our mission is to raise awareness and provide education on bees and their huge importance for human life as well as the natural world. They may seem small in size but they are colossal with regards to ecological influence. We will do our best to give you an insight into the incredible life of bees, what is causing the decline in populations and what is being doing about it.

SUPPORTING LOCAL BEEKEEPERS

We believe it is incredibly important to support local beekeepers in Cornwall but also around the UK and the world! Providing the industry with financial backing will in turn support bee conservation and will create a platform for a more sustainable future. We can do this by purchasing more local honey (a delicious way of helping!) and other bee products and this page will point you in the direction of the best stuff!

MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN OUR OWN GARDENS

At The Back Garden Bee Project, we are dedicated to providing a future for our black and yellow friends! We believe one of the best ways of doing this is through providing homes for them and plenty of wildflowers for them to pollinate so we aim to encourage everyone to create a safe haven in your own gardens.
